With everybody currently buzzing about the brand new God Of War, which has finally hit the PS4, the team at PlayStation New Zealand invites you to gt a little bit more involved and literally unleash your inner Kratos!
Joe Naufahu is founder of the Ludus Magnus Fitness system, as well as an accomplished actor. He’s appeared in in Game of Thrones, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, and Ghost in the Shell, to name a few – all roles that show off his impressive physique, so he’s well-positioned to transform console gamers into ripped, buff demi-gods.
…or nearly, anyway.
I’m a massive fan of the God of War series and I’ve always thought that Kratos is a strong character with amazing physical abilities. I have created a program that will help you build all the fitness, power, and strength that you need to unleash your inner Kratos. It’s a chance to challenge your friends, get in shape, and of course, celebrate the launch of God of War.
Inspired by the high action and intense battle scenes fatured in God of War, Joe created a collection of exercise programs that will help get you in shape. No matter your level of fitness, the exercises will provide a fun challenge, ranging from the starter bronze level all the way up to the elite platinum trophy over the course of four weeks.
The first week’s focus: Jump!
This week we’re focusing on plyometric exercises: full body workouts to build strength, agility and power. As a demigod, Kratos is defined by his strength, so it’s crucial that we start this journey with a solid strength foundation.
For more information on just how Joe Naufahu will unleash your inner Kratos, each week comes with a handy PDF guide as well as the intro video, with new exercises released each week.
We’re taking our time to play God of War “properly”, but we’ll have a review for you before too long. Whether or not we try out the exercise regime is a totally different question.
