Steam Weekly Top Sellers: February 12th, 2018

The more things change, the more they stay the same. No surprises that PUBG is still sitting atop the charts. The battle royale’s settled in nicely on PC, but after two months of being the top paid game on the Xbox store, PUBG has been overtaken by Monster Hunter: World. Is this a flash in the pan, or is it a sign that the game’s grip might be slipping slightly?

Meanwhile, we should probably address what’s going on there at #9, because it’s a little more complicated than something being lost in translation. The URL for the position redirects to the Steam store front page, but that doesn’t mean people have been spending their money on nothing.

Far from it. People have been spending their money on a Mega Bundle for the ELEAGUE CS:GO Boston Major, which was held in late January. The case contained 48 items commemorating the players and organisations participating in the event, including in-game stickers and graffiti.

Because the event is now well and truly over (congratulations, Cloud9!), the item has been withdrawn from sale and shows up as a blank line on our charts.

…and now you know!
