Good news, Nephalem! The long awaited resurrection of the best class in Diablo is finally upon us.
The Rise of the Necromancer pack is coming to Diablo III on June 27, for $14.99 US.
That’ll be $21.95 Australian, says Blizzard ANZ. Well done to Player Attack Clan Officer Makena being the first to get an answer on that. (Hint: Player Attack has a clan, see this forum post for details.)
What do you get for your 15-ish American dollars or your 22-ish Australian dollars or your whatever-local-currency?
- A non-combat pet
- A pair of cosmetic wings
- New Necromancer-themed Banner Shape, Sigil, and Accent
- Necromancer Portrait Frame
- Two additional character slots
- Two additional stash tabs*
The star indicates you don’t get the tabs on consoles. Bit of a bummer, but maybe you should have bought it on PC? You can see pictures of each of these on the official site.
If you missed the cinematic trailer, it’s worth a look.
There are some additional features coming to the game alongside the Necromancer Pack, that everyone will gain access to for free, so even if you don’t want to put any money down it may be worth coming back to the game.
Challenge Rifts, The Shrouded Moors zone, Temple of the Firstborn zone, and the Realms of Fate are all coming at the same time, though you will need to own the Reaper of Souls expansion.
Console gamers who have yet to get on the bandwagon will be offered a special “Eternal Collection”, featuring the base game, the Reaper of Souls expansion and the Rise of the Necromancer pack for $39.99 (US) during the launch window. The regular price will be $59.99, though Blizzard haven’t said when the pricing will change.
