Following last week’s big reveal, Player Attack was lucky enough to go hands-on with the Nintendo Switch at its first ever Australian event. We got a chance to play a few games, chat to a few people, and spend some quality time with the new console.
We definitely have more than a few thoughts on the matter (mostly: OMG IT’S SO TINY), but we’re holding onto those for the first episode of the TV show when we come back in February. Until then, here’s a quick montage of what we got up to, featuring a couple of mini-games from 1-2-Switch (both Samurai Training and Quick Draw), Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Arms, and everybody’s favourite: Splatoon 2 (why is it not Spla2n?).
Yes, The Legend of Zelda was on show. No, we didn’t get a chance to play it on Switch. (Sorry!)
The stand-out game for us, at this stage? Arms! Sure, it looks goofy, but it’s actually a lot of fun. It’ll be interesting to see how it holds up when the market’s a bit more crowded.
