Sony has announced a new headset coming for the PlayStation 4 that is both wireless and 3D audio enabled.
The headset is called the Platinum, and will only run you $160, which isn’t that much for something that is both wireless and 3D audio enabled.
The headset features 7.1 surround sound, as well as dual hidden and noise-cancelling microphone. The 3D audio feature works with the same technology as the PlayStation VR.
Support for the headset will be implemented in multiple upcoming games, including Uncharted 4: The Lost Legacy, which will be the first game to add support via a patch in January.
Sony also released the above video featuring Naughty Dog devs talking about the headset’s implications for gaming.
The headset will come with a travel pouch, wireless adaptor (USB), 3.5mm cable and a micro-USB charging cable.
