Publisher and industry News
Some good industry news this week, with a new comic book publisher entering the scene. Vault Comics will be publishing sci-fi and fantasy books starting from February next year, when the first two of their titles will be released. Their lineup of titles will include Fissure, by Tim Daniel and Patricio Delpeche, Heathen by Natasha Alterici, Powerless by David M Booher and Nathan C Golden and Colossi, by Ricardo Mo and Alberto Marie, amongst others.

For those ResurrXion fans, more news this week, with the announcement that the Weapon X book will be written by Greg Pal with art by Greg Land. The book will feature the team of Old Man Logan, Sabretooth, Ready Deathstrike, Warpath and Domino. Quite the combination!

Movie and TV tie-in news
To Supergirl news, and as reported by, a familiar trouble-causing foe will be making an appearance in Season 2, with Mister Mxyzptlk due to appear in 2 episodes. The character, from the fifth dimension, is no stranger to the television treatment, having already appeared in Lois and Clark, Smallville and Superboy.

In movie news, and Aquaman has a release date! The movie will be premiering on October 5, 2018, which means it will be releasing after Wonder Woman in June 2017, Justice League in November 2017, and The Flash in March 2018.

Enemy of the State II continues in All New Wolverine #15, written by Tom Taylor with art by Djibril Morissette-Phan, where Wolverine sails on the high seas with pirates, in search of information about the slaughter in Daylesville.

In the climatic issue of Eclipse #4, written by Zachary Kaplan with art by Giovanni Timpano, Cielo lies trapped by the mysterious killer, but can Bax save the day?

For the DC Rebirth title watch list, here’s what’s hitting store shelves this week: Aquaman #12, written by Dan Abnett with art by Philippe Briones;  Batman #12, written by Tom King with art by Mikel Janin; Cyborg #6, written by John Semper Jr with cover art by Mike Choi; Green Arrow #12, written by Ben Percy with art by Otto Schmidt; Green Lantern #12, written by Sam Humphries with art by Jay Leisten; Harley Quinn #9, written by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti with art by Brandon Peterson; Justice League #10, written by Bryan Hitch with art by Neil Edwards and Daniel Henriques; Nightwing #10, written by Tim Seeley with art by Marcus To; and Superman #12, written by Peter J Tomasi and Patrick Gleason with art by Doug Mahnke and Jaime Mendoza.

In Moon Knight #9, written by Jeff Lemire with art by Wilfredo Torres, Francesco Francavilla and James Stokoe, the many iterations of Marc Spector converge, and in this epic clash of personalities, who will emerge victorious?

Classified is back in Nova #1 NOW, written by Jeff Loveness and Ramon K Perez with art by Ramon K Perez, but will Sam Alexander cope with the homecoming?

For all the omnibus lovers out there, Conan Omnibus TP Vol 1 Birth Of Legend releases this week. Written by Kurt Busiek with art by Cary Nord, Tom Years, Tom Mandrake and Greg Ruth, the 472 page omnibus features favourites including Born on the Battlefield, The God in the Bowl and The Frost Giant’s Daughter.

Also out in omnibus format is DC Rebirth Omnibus, collecting all the Rebirth specials in hardcover format. Yes, all of them. That’s a lot of specials.

Boldly go…and colour some starships, with Star Trek Next Generation Adult Colouring Book and Star Trek Original Series Adult Colouring Book both releasing this week. Both books feature 45 black and white images to colour.

Weekly Pick
Video game fans, here’s one just for you. Dragon Age Omnibus collects the first three canonical comics from Dark Horse set in the Dragon Age verse and written by David Gaider. Including The Silent Grove, Those Who Speak and Until We Sleep, the omnibus centres around King Alistair as he journeys across Thedas to discover the fate of his father. Fan favourites Isabela and Varric join him in a tale that any Dragon Age fan will enjoy.
