Each week, gamers around the world log onto digital distribution platform Steam, to get their latest gaming fix, and every week, Player Attack lets you know which games were the most popular.
The end of the year is always a fun time to look at the sales charts. There are so many great new titles being released, but sometimes the same game will sit atop the charts regardless of the latest highly-anticipated blockbuster. This year’s example: Sid Meier is still in top spot (and second, thanks to the Digital Deluxe edition), even though the latest Call of Duty has also hit shelves. That said, Infinite Warfare has actually settled into three places in the top 10 (the original game, the Digital Legacy edition and the Digital Deluxe edition), so perhaps if they were all added up together they might take out #1?
But who are we to argue with the mysterious workings of Steam? Here, stop wondering about things and listen to the soothing strains of the Civilization VI soundtrack, which should calm you down for four hours or so – more if you play it twice!
