Final Fantasy XV will have the ability to switch between two different display modes if you’re playing on the PlayStation 4 Pro.
The two modes offer switches between resolution and frame rate. Both display modes are better than the display mode on PS4, which runs at 1080p at 30 fps.
The first display mode works at 1080p resolution running at 60 frames-per-second. If framerate is the most important thing to you, this would be the display mode for you.
However, if you prefer a higher resolution, and are fine with a lower frame rate, the second mode will display at 4K and run at 30 frames-per-second.
It has not been announced how exactly the game is achieving 4K, whether it be a native display resolution, or if it will have some sort of upscaling or checkerboard rendering.
Final Fantasy XV launches on November 29.
