Michael Keaton has officially been confirmed as the Vulture in the upcoming Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has talked to the Toronto Sun about the future of the MCU, and when asked about the upcoming villains that we will be seeing on the big screen, he said:
“Cate Blanchett is playing Hela in Thor: Ragnarok. Michael Keaton’s Vulture in Spider-Man is something. And of course, finally, we’re showcasing Josh Brolin’s Thanos (in Avengers: Infinity War). We’re looking forward to that very much.”
Seems like a pretty nonchalant way of confirming something, but at least we definitely know for sure.
The upcoming Spider-Man film takes a new old-spin on Spider-Man, bringing him back into high school as a young teenager in a classic “coming of age” style film. Tom Holland stars as the hero, Spider-Man. We’ve already seen him take the role in Captain America: Civil War, and the vast majority of people were not only impressed, but genuinely thought that he was what Spider-Man should always have been.
Spider-Man: Homecoming releases July 7, 2017.
