Starting October 26, Pokémon GO is set to get a little more spooky, as a special Halloween event rolls out in the smartphone game. Not only will you receive “way more Candies” than usual, but certain types of Pokémon (hint: Spooky ones!) will be much more common, so keep an eye out while you’re trick-or-treating!
First up, The Professor is much more generous with his Candies. He’ll give you two Candies instead of one for each Pokémon you transfer to him. You’ll also get twice as many Candies – six instead of three – for catching Pokémon, and twice as many Candies for hatching Eggs. Plus, you’ll get more Candy just for walking around – your Buddy Pokémon will earn Candy four times faster than normal.
As for those spooky Pokémon lurking around, here’s a list of the ones that’ll be more common over the Halloween period – looks like a good time to go catch those super-rare Zubats!
This is all running from October 26 until November 1 (we’re not sure if that’s in your timezone or Niantic’s), so don’t miss your chance to rank up thanks to these nifty bonuses.
…and if you’re headed to PAX Australia and want to catch up with other people who are still playing Pokémon GO, don’t miss the PAX Aus Pokémon GO Walk on Saturday morning – hosted by PAX Australia and Player Attack!
