Yes. 88MB. No, not 88GB. Titanfall 2’s day one patch is going to be a measly 88 MB. It’s completely unknown what is in it, or if anything is at all.

The news comes via a tweet from Vinca Zampella, co-founder of Respawn, the developer that makes Titanfall.
I speculate that the small file size is a good thing. It has become the norm for developers to delay their games if they have more they feel needs to be improved, and Respawn could have done that, but I think the game is where they want it to be at launch, and so the file size is small because they’ve fixed everything that they know could go wrong.
Now, things are definitely going to continue going wrong that they will have to fix with future updates, but most likely, it’s probably a good sign that the game is in a good place.
Titanfall 2 releases October 28 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
