Cuphead, Studio MDHR’s 1930’s cartoon-style platformer, has been delayed to mid-2017 for Xbox One, Steam and Windows 10 PC.
The news came in a blog post by Studio MDHR that says:
Hey everyone, we wanted to finish our game 80 years after 1936 but it will now be 81.
Throughout this year we discussed reducing the scope to make a 2016 release, but we made the difficult decision to delay the launch in order to ship with our vision intact. We are happy to announce that Cuphead will be coming to Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam in Mid-2017.
If you don’t know, Cuphead is a platformer game developed by two Canadian brothers, Chad and Jared Moldenhauer, calling themselves Studio MDHR. The game is drawn in the style of 1930’s cartoons like Popeye, and features your character, Cuphead, as he works to repay a debt to the devil.
The game looks great, so hopefully this delay will give it more time to become greater.
