What is Ghost Story? Take-Two registers new trademark

What is Ghost Story?
Put simply, it’s a trademark that’s been registered by Take-Two Interactive with the European Union Intellectual Property Office. This suggests that either 2K or Rockstar Games is working on something new, but what that is, we still don’t know.

Registered last week by a Take-Two rep, the database confirms that “Ghost Story” has been registered for “computer and video game programs”, as well as a collection of non-games related things (including clothing and printed material). This is pretty standard stuff, covering both the game and the accompanying merch.

Take-Two is the parent company of both 2K and Rockstar, so we don’t know – and can’t really tell – which one owns this game. Of course, this means we can’t tell which studio’s working on it.

And while it is a pretty great potential title for a game, it’s not exactly descriptive. What sort of game is it? Which genre? Which platform? When’s it coming out?

…unfortunately, we might not know for some time – if ever. A trademark registration doesn’t necessarily mean a game will ever see the light of day, but for now at least, our interest is piqued.
