Steam Weekly Top Sellers: October 3rd, 2016

Each week, gamers around the world log onto digital distribution platform Steam, to get their latest gaming fix, and every week, Player Attack lets you know which games were the most popular.

It’s a public holiday here at Player Attack HQ and we’re currently experiencing some of the most extreme weather we’ve ever seen in the area, but the show must go on!

…and this week, it’s a(nother) blast from the past – Trevor, Michael and Franklin are back in the top spot with a game that’s been out for well over a year now. Grand Theft Auto V is one of those titles that just sort of hangs out around the top of the charts – and rightly so. Rockstar continues to provide support, new content, constant updates… if you haven’t yet dipped your toes into the waters of Los Santos, now’s as good a time as any!

Sitting there at #2 however is a brand new one. Battlerite hit early access in late September, and is already picking up “Overwhelmingly positive” reviews. It’s a PvP team arena brawler, a spiritual successor to Bloodline Champions, and it’ll set you back $20 or so. From the sounds of things – is just the ticket if you’re looking for something fast-paced and action-packed – we’re expecting to see this one stick around for a while.
