Ever wanted to go skiing without the wet feet? Snowboarding without the stress on your ankles? Paragliding without worrying about that pesky fear of heights? Ubisoft is giving you the chance to do all three – before anybody else – by opening up registration for the closed alpha test for upcoming extreme sport game, Steep. You can even put on a wingsuit and jump off a virtual mountain, knowing that you’re unlikely to suffer any major physical injury.
Steep launches for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on December 2, but in the leadup, the developers are opening the game up to a select bunch of alpha testers (with beta testing soon to follow). If you’re interested, it’s a simple matter of visiting the game’s website and signing up.
Of course, as with all closed alpha/beta tests, you’re not guaranteed a spot – but if you’re not registered, you’ll definitely miss out.
First revealed at this year’s E3, we were blown away by the extreme sports action Ubisoft was showing off – Steep looks like something very different to the other games on the market this holiday season. If you’re the sort of adrenaline junkie who’d really rather not leave the couch, this could be the game for you.
