Messhof’s Nidhogg was a very fun way to kill some time with your friends and, if you’re on the winning side, kill your friends. Now, they have announced Nidhogg 2.
The reveal trailer provides a quick look at gameplay, including the use of multiple weapons, and filled out character sprites that differ from the previous stick figures.
Fans of the game probably won’t recognize the new art design, but it seems like Messhof is really trying to add some flavor to their game, hopefully they don’t make it so complicated that it loses its luster.
The game will include at least ten different levels, tournament mode and local and online multiplayer. Also in the game will be a singe player wave-based mode that has players face off against AI’s with special challenge rounds.
Nidhogg was a fantastic, simple game that allowed players to have a roaring good time, hopefully Nidhogg 2 lives up to that.
Nidhogg 2 will be coming 2 PC and “maybe some other platforms.”
