The Xbox One S has shot Xbox sales through the roof, skyrocketing them by almost 1000% since the release of the slimmer, yet beefier console.
Specifically, the sales rose by an impressive 989% week-on-week in the UK market, giving Xbox a rather astonishing 71% hardware market share for the week ending September 24th, according to MCV.
That is in a rather stark contrast to the recently released PlayStation 4 Slim, which has so far seen rather slow sales, giving Sony a market share of a slim 19%. Sales declined 66% year-on-year, but saw a rise of 22% week-on-week.
So compared directly to one another in a fair bet, the launch week of the Xbox One S was stronger than that of the PlayStation 4 Slim by 361%.
So Microsoft seems to be in the lead at the moment, but expect changes to come with the PlayStation 4 Pro.
