It looks like Pokémon will be making their way to the Nintendo NX console, due out this coming March.
The news comes via an interview by the Wall Street Journal with Pokémon Company boss Tsunekazu Ishihara.
Ishihara added some substantiation to the rumors that the NX will be a console and handheld gaming hybrid, saying:
The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a handheld device.
As he then goes on to say:
We will make games for the NX.
Other games that are confirmed to make their way to the console/handheld hybrid are the usual Nintendo games, Mario and The Legend of Zelda. In a way, Mario, The Legend of Zelda and Pokémon can be seen as the “big three” for Nintendo, so it should come as no surprise that games from all three franchises will be making their way to the console very early after its release sometime in March of 2017.
