South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed until early 2017.
The news comes from a very short post on Ubisoft’s website, saying the normal, “We want to give player’s the best experience,” thing:
South Park: The Fractured But Whole will now launch on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC, calendar Q1 2017. The development team wants to make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans and the additional time will help them achieve this goal.
Delays are almost always a good thing, ensuring that the game is released completely, in a form that the developers are okay with, and with a game like this, that’s always a good sign.
With games like this, there is passion and thought, even if it is about farts. If the team is okay with what they release, then you know it’s the best they could do, at the time. People who are passionate about their art are much more meticulous when they play their game/ listen to their music/ read their work, so if they’re comfortable releasing it, it’s the best they can do.
