Metal Gear Survive gameplay will debut at Tokyo Game Show

Metal Gear Survive is set to be one of the highlights of this year’s Tokyo Game Show, and Konami has revealed exactly when you’ll be able to catch your first glimpse of gameplay – even if you can’t get to Japan.

Set your alarms for 4:15pm JST on Saturday September 17 (click the link to find out your local time), when Metal Gear Survive will take over the Konami booth. The first-ever gameplay demo will also include more information about the upcoming title, which is currently being developed by members of the original Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain production team.

Metal Gear Survive is set in the world featured in The Phantom Pain, and is inspired by that game’s action elements. This is a very different Metal Gear game – all the stealth you love is still there, but this time there’s some new survival elements thrown in as well, in a co-op game that supports up to four players.

If you want to watch this all unfold, you can check it out on either YouTube Live or NicoNico Live. Or, of course, you could go to Tokyo and watch it live. It’s your choice.
