Each week, gamers around the world log onto digital distribution platform Steam, to get their latest gaming fix, and every week, Player Attack lets you know which games were the most popular.
This isn’t quite what we were expecting – in a period where there seem to be Big New Games at every turn, it seems the Steam-buying audience is more interested in a title that brings something new to a game that’s a bit more familiar. The Scorched Earth Expansion Pack for Ark: Survival Evolved adds new terrain, biomes and creatures to the survival experience. There are new items, new challenges and – yes – there are dragons.
The original game has also climbed back into the charts, sitting there at #7, and it’s good to see some other new titles showing up in the list. One game that’s ominously absent, however: No Man’s Sky. Has the pendulum swung back so that we hate it again now? I’ve lost track.
