The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta was officially announced at the Call of Duty XP 2016 fan event.
The multiplayer beta will be up on October 14th PlayStation 4, followed by Xbox One, for players who pre-ordered the game.
The exact day that the beta will be launched for Xbox One has not yet been announced, nor has the exact time of launch for PlayStation 4. It will not be available on PC.
The multiplayer reveal trailer was also released earlier today and features the typical “Call of Duty music montage” style.
Infinite Warfare has already been in the news, but often for the massive hate that it is receiving. The reveal trailer that was released on May 2nd of this year has seen a massive disproportion of dislikes to likes, with (as of the posting of this article) 3,221,306 dislikes and 521,343 likes. That’s a ratio of of over 6 dislikes per like. Compare that to another massively disliked video, Justin Bieber’s “Baby,” which only has a ratio of less than 1.5 dislikes per like, and it’s one of the most disliked videos on YouTube.
Needless to say, it will be interesting to see where Call of Duty goes after this game.
