Reports are coming in that suggest that the Nintendo NX controller will feature a split d-pad and share button.
Anonymous reports given to Let’s Play Video Games suggest that the controller will feature the split d-pad instead of the typical solid d-pad that Nintendo controllers have used in the past.
The other reports is that the controller will feature a share button that works in a similar fashion as the share button on the PlayStation’s DualShock 4 controller, uploading stills and videos to Miiverse, Twitter, Facebook or YouTube. It will also allow players to save images or video to external memory devices.
This comes after reports from the same site that says that the controller will feature basic motion control, similar to the Wii Remote Plus, as well as “advanced vibration force feedback.” Their source says that it works, “very similar to the Vive controller, in that it alters intensity, pulsing patterns and duration of vibration to mimic the sensation of a range of different movement types. It’s not just one vibration for all situations, there’s a notable difference between the hard abrupt feedback of a sword clash or the softer, longer thud of something like hitting a tennis ball.”
