Ubisoft’s extreme sports game Steep has gotten a new trailer for Gamescom 2016, which includes a release date.
The trailer showcases tons of different sports including skiing, snowboarding and wingsuit diving, as well as featuring the multiplayer aspect of the game.
The trailer also reminds players to sign up for the beta.
I’m not normally too into sports games, with the extent that I play being FIFA, but as a passionate skier, I’m very excited to see what will come out of this game. Most snow sports games in the past have left much to be desired, but I feel like we have reached a point now where they can really shine.
The open-world game takes place in the Alps, but Alaska will be added after launch in a free update.
The game also has another level of inspiration behind it following the death of Matilda Rapaport, a pro skier who passed away after an avalanche while filming a promo for the game.
Steep is set for release on December 2, 2016 for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
