Get on the horse: Brand new Battlefield 1 trailer

Want more Battlefield 1? EA and DICE has released an explosive new trailer in the leadup for Gamescom. This selection of all-new footage has horses, swords and armoured trains, plus a flamethrower, a sandy desert map, and what looks like a new class.

If that’s not enough for you, there’s even more new BF1 stuff on the way. DICE has confirmed that the beta will kick off on Wednesday, August 31 (that’s US time). If you’re a Battlefield Insider (click here to check), you’ll be given even earlier access, but we’re not sure quite how much. Make sure you’ve picked your preferred platform by August 21 or you’ll miss out!

The beta will focus on the Sinai Desert map shown above, which features that immense armoured train (which we’d only seen before as concept art).

…and if that‘s not enough: A livestream held at 12pm PT August 16 will also feature a stack of new information, showing off the desert map, packed with “points to capture, horses to ride and things to demolish”. Plus, y’know, another look at those 64-player Squads, which were revealed at EA Play in June.

If you still want more… you might have to wait a bit. Battlefield 1 launches October 21 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Gamescom kicks off in Cologne, Germany, from August 17-21. Stay tuned.
