This is for South Park.
Set all of your maturity aside and let’s discuss farts.
The newest South Park game, South Park: The Fractured but Whole is slated for release in December of this year, and some new… interesting things are coming out of it.
Basically, Ubisoft has designed a virtual reality system that simulates farts. They’re calling it the Nosulus Rift and it’s real. Like it’s actually real.
Via a video posted to Youtube, the company addressed the new device, stating how exactly they came up with it, and how they got it to work. They even have an intense-speaking Japanese design consultant named Nakata Tuobashi and a German perfumer engineer named Jurgen “Nose” Bischoff (actors).
Allegedly, Bischoff smelled over 1,000 farts in order to capture the true essence of flatulence.
Watching the video, it all seems like one big joke to parody the Oculus, but then at the end in small print, it says that the Nosulus is not for sale and will only be available at Gamescom in Cologne from August 17th to the 21st.
It’s actually real.
Sometimes humanity just fascinates me with its priorities.
