The Xbox One has beaten the PS4 in US sales for the month of July, despite the fact that the Xbox One S was about to launch.
This is a big deal, because the PS4 has beaten the Xbox One in sales rather consistently since their launches. The part that makes it even stranger is that the Xbox outsold the US the month before it launched a new system. The Xbox hasn’t outsold the PS4 since October, and its best month was (of course) December.
The sales report that this information is from also states:
“total gaming hours on Xbox consoles globally were up 18 percent over last year, reaching 1.55 billion hours.”
The constant battle between which console is the better one continues to rage on, now that the Xbox One S is out, and the Playstation 4K/4.5/Neo is most likely going to be announced this September.
