Welcome to Player Attack’s TGIF, a weekly feature where we discuss what we’re doing over the weekend whether it’s games, movies, TV, books or anything else! We’d love to hear what you’re up to as well – heck, you might come across some like-minded people and become super friends!

I’m terribly excited and terribly nervous about moving to Sydney this weekend. Mainly excited. Let’s play a game? Cool thanks.
The road trip with my dad will allow me to?
- Bond with my father
- Read Ancillary Sword
- Finish Fire Emblem Fates Birthright
Guys, the answer is obviously all of them, the drive is 14 freakin’ hours.
Be good to one another.

So last weekend I had an electrical fault in the home which impeded me from doing a LOT of stuff. No washing, no white goods so food spoiling, no heat, no music/tv/games, you name it, I didn’t have it.
With no way to charge my phone I couldn’t even catch Pokémans!
After almost killing myself trying to fix everything I managed to re-wire and fix the problem, so now this weekend I’ll be able to dive back into my Videogame Shoebox for the TV show, any recommendations/ requests?

This weekend is Adelaide’s very own anime and video games festival, AVCon! I’ll likely be found lurking around the Indie Games Room, indulging in some amazing locally-developed games and chatting to the people who make them. Jonny and I will also be doing a bunch of hosting stuff on the gaming stage, so come check us out!
As for games, I’m hoping to have a few hours with Killing Time at Light Speed, but… we’ll see.

PO. KE. MON. PO. KE. MON. PO. KE. MON.
And Fallout Shelter! It’s finally out on PC and I can’t wait to make another bunch of Vault Dwellers suffer for my ineptitude.

While I have some adult responsibilities this weekend, I feel like I can probably squeeze in a few hours of Pokémon catching! Especially on the trip down to Wollongong. I might even test out the new Overwatch character, Ana; or not blow myself up playing D.Va (it happens a lot.)
What’s on your plates this weekend? Will Jessica be seeing any of your shiny happy faces at AVCon? If so, do say hello. And tell her what a wonderful job I have been doing. 🙂
