Oculus all caught up – your new Rift order will ship in 2-4 days

It took them four months, but Oculus now says it’s up-to-date with Rift shipments. All headset pre-orders have been sent out to customers (so if you don’t have yours yet, go refresh that tracking page again), with new Rift orders being shipped out within less than four days.

The news comes via the Oculus blog, which also sheds some light on Oculus Connect 3, planned for later this year.

The Rift headset first went on sale back in March, but ridiculous demand and stock shortages saw heavy delays.

We want to apologise for the delays in getting Rifts to doorsteps. We appreciate that without your support, VR wouldn’t be where it is today. Thank you for your patience over the past few months.

And because things are now more easily available, the company is setting up demos at retail outlets across the US, including an assortment of Microsoft Stores and select Best Buy outlets. To find out when they’ll be near you, check out Oculus Live – but brace for disappointment if you’re not in North America.
