The good, the good and…even more of the good?

Even better? It’s becoming available sooner than one would expect, with owners of Western epic on Xbox 360 being able to play it on their Xbox Ones July 8.

“Starting on Friday, every Red Dead Redemption Xbox 360 owner will be able to play the game directly on their Xbox One, regardless of which version of the game they own (Red Dead Redemption, Undead Nightmare and Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition),” a spokesperson for Rockstar said.

For those players who don’t own the game on disc,  a digital download version of Red Dead Redemption will be available for purchase from from the Xbox Games Store this Friday.

This is a title fans have been begging for since a backwards compatibility glitch made it playable earlier this year. Microsoft apologized and have now subsequently delivered.
