The first post-launch content update for Bethesda Softworks DOOM will add a photo mode when it arrives June 30, the publisher announced today.

Digital in-game photography is becoming a far more common feature in titles of late, due in part to social media and sharing becoming more prevalent and titles with high end visuals looking to boast their graphical acumen; look no further than say Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Forza Horizon 2

DOOM‘s photo mode will be accessible as a toggle option in the game settings once a map has completely loaded. The patch also adds another modifier to DOOM, one that will scratch the nostalgia itch of longtime fans of the franchise. The new option will allow for central weapon placement, which hearkens back to the previous entries of the series. This option will also be available as a toggle option in the settings.

Additionally, the patch also includes a number of improvements to the SnapMap interface, and bug fixes for both the single-player and multiplayer modes. A full list of the patch notes can be viewed on Bethesda’s official website.
