At today’s Ubisoft pre-E3 press conference, host Aisha Tyler was surrounded by a hallucination of a dance number (a giant, mo-hawked panda was my favourite character, but not the strangest), as she spilled the beans on the upcoming release of Just Dance 2017.
Of course, it’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect. More dancing, more songs, more and better technology – but also, a new platform. Just Dance 2017 is, we believe, the first non-Nintendo game confirmed for the new console on the block, the NX.
But we have to take Tyler’s word for it. The NX is not on show this year (not for Ubisoft, not for Nintendo), so we were never going to be shown any real, live gameplay on the new platform. That said, we weren’t shown any real, live gameplay at all, but again – you know what to expect.
Just Dance 2017 is due out for Nintendo NX next year, with releases for other platforms expected by the end of 2016.
