Horror fans take note: Five Nights at Freddy’s is set to continue despite Scott Cawthon’s promises to the contrary: We have the first-look trailer for the new game, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location, for your viewing pleasure.
In typical Cawthon fashion, the trailer – and a website update are all we’ve seen about Sister Location to date. The most obvious and useful bit of information is that there “Fall” release date, which for any other horror game would mean “some time close to Halloween”, but for Five Nights At Freddy’s could mean as early as next week.
This will be the sixth game under the FNAF banner – four base games, plus the spin-off RPG FNAF: World – and continues the universe that’s also spawned a novel and a fast-tracked movie (which we’ve also heard nothing about recently). While each release might seem simple on the surface, avid gamers have discovered all sorts of sneaky tidbits tucked away, making these simple projects one of the most startling success stories of recent years.
Sister Location will no doubt prompt the same sort of cult following – FNAF fans are already carefully analysing the trailer frame-by-frame, trying to figure out exactly what’s going on and what they can expect from this new game.
