Each week, gamers around the world log onto digital distribution platform Steam, to get their latest gaming fix, and every week, Player Attack lets you know which games were the most popular.
Okay, so, last week – Friday the 13th – saw the release of one of the most eagerly-anticipated PC games of the year: DOOM! It’s a return to form for id Software, bringing a much-needed influx of demons and BFGs back to the PC. And yet… it was still beaten in the charts by that there Dark Souls III, with people still praisin’ all over the place. (Now sure, DOOM was released literally on Friday, which was three days ago. Dark Souls III has been out since April, so it’s had a bit of a head start. Buy it’s still a little surprising to see them in that order.)
In other parts of the charts, it’s good to see Paradox’s new one Stellaris showing up not once, but twice (yay Collector’s Editions!), while the latest Gearbox shooter – Battleborn – has a very strong showing there at #4.
