Each week, gamers around the world log onto digital distribution platform Steam, to get their latest gaming fix, and every week, Player Attack lets you know which games were the most popular.
Unsurprisingly, we have two different forms of Dark Souls III sitting in the top spots. Somewhat more surprising is the fact that one of them is a Japan-only pre-order, but regardless of where gamers are based, they were all determined to start praising the sun the moment they were allowed to. It’s also interesting to note that the full release of the game itself doesn’t actually rate a mention in the list, suggesting that everyone who wanted to grab a copy did so before it was actually released.
That means the rest of the Top 10 is full of shiny new games like Enter the Gungeon, Stardew Valley and Factorio (although last week’s #1, GTAV is still there, and we could have sworn everybody already owned that one, too…). It’ll be interesting to see who tops next week’s charts – will Dark Souls 3 have the sort of long-tail to do it, or will something else rocket up the charts?
