More people will get to play Overwatch this weekend

Check your inboxes, folks – there’s another Overwatch beta on the way. If you’ve opted in for beta access, you may well get an invitation for this weekend’s test. If you haven’t signed up yet, hop to it!

This next beta will run from 9:00am PT April 15 through 9:00pm PT April 16 (what’s that in my timezone?), and is again only for the PC gamers. If you’re hanging out for a bit of console action, you don’t have much longer to wait – the PS4/Xbox One beta is set for next month!

All 21 heroes will be available, with three maps – Hanamura, Route 66 and Nepal. This is a real beta test, too – designed to stress test Blizzard’s hardware and game balance, with the studio warning that you “may experience problems” over the weekend.

Once you’ve opted in, if you’re selected for this test, you’ll be sent an email with more information.

If you’ve been involved in previous Overwatch beta testing, you don’t need to redownload or reinstall your client. If this is your first time, you can grab the software ahead of time and hit the ground running! Blizzard has all the system specs and details if you need more info.

Overwatch, a new team-based shooter, is due in May for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
