EA reveals first details for player-friendly EA Play event

Want to know what else will be on show at EA Play when it hits Los Angeles this June? Other than Titanfall 2, we still don’t actually know. But what we do know is the initial timetable for the event, and it looks like the publisher’s sticking to its promise and making the event for the players.

Here’s the current schedule, which – of course – is not set in stone just yet.
Play LA (All times in Pacific Time)

  • Sunday, June 12
    • 1:00pm – 2:00pm – EA Press Conference
    • 2:00pm – 4:00pm – Open to Media
    • 4:00pm – 10:00pm – Open to Players
  • Monday, June 13
    • 9:00am – 9:00pm – Open to all players
  • Tuesday, June 14
    • 9:00am – 9:00pm – Open to Industry and E3 attendees

…and don’t forget, while the primary event’s kicking off in Los Angeles, there’s a partner event being held simultaneously in London!

Play LDN (British Summer Time)

  • Sunday, June 12
    • 9:00pm – 10:00pm – Press Conference
  • 10:00pm – 12:00am – Player sessions

Can’t get to either one? EA has promised that despite not being part of E3, the press conference will be livestreamed as usual, with extra footage and behind-the-scenes glimpses shared online throughout the event.

We’re guessing that Titanfall 2 won’t be the only big name (and might not even be the biggest) on show. With two months to go before the gig, we’ve already been told the sequel to Respawn Entertainment’s mech-centric FPS will be playable at the event, as well as three unnamed EA Sports titles. If that’s the sort of news they’re sharing now, what are they keeping up their sleeves? For more information, head to the official EA Play website.
