This weekend is Oz Comic-Con Adelaide, and that means a whole stack of awesome people will be converging on South Australia. For the first time, that list of awesome people includes Wargaming, with the first official public showing of Master of Orion: Conquer the Stars.
Wargaming will be at the Adelaide Showgrounds on Saturday 9-Sunday 10 April, promising exclusive on-stage demos and hands-on time with 10 demo stations. These will be showing off the 10 playable races that inhabit Master of Orion’s vast galaxies, and offer just a little bit more insight into who you might meet ingame.
Jasper Nicholas, General Manager of Wargaming Asia is looking forward to sharing the game with Oz Comic-Con attendees, describing the event as the “perfect setting” to show off the game to newcomers and long-time fans of the franchise:
Australia is one of only a few markets where players will be able to get hands on with the game before its launch and we can’t wait to interact with the local gaming community.
Master of Orion was first launched in 1993, and pioneered the turn-based 4X strategy genre. Now, an all new generation is being given the opportunity to crush worlds, manipulate leaders, and amass resources.
But of course, Wargaming has more than just one game – and World of Tanks will also be on show on PS4 at Oz Comic-Con Adelaide, with visitors able to get behind the virtual controls of the first Australian tank in the game – Australian Cruiser tank Mark 1, better known as the Sentinel!
There’s also a whole stack of stuff being given away on the booth – including Master of Orion Steam keys, three times a day. Be there, or you’ll miss out!
