Each week, gamers around the world log onto digital distribution platform Steam, to get their latest gaming fix, and every week, Player Attack lets you know which games were the most popular.
And again, we have a #1 that isn’t even out yet, with the Fallout 4 Season Pass still boasting a nebulous “Early 2016” release window. However, these early birds are also catching a very tasty (probably irradiated) worm, as Bethesda has confirmed the price of the Season Pass will nearly double this week.
That’s right – if you pick it up right now (before March 1), the Fallout 4 Season Pass will set you back US$29.99 (prices will vary by region, but bear with me on this one). However, if you wait just a couple of days (after March 1, Pacific time), the studio has confirmed you will pay US$49.99 for the same content.
Bethesda explains that it’s because it’s actually including a whole lot more DLC in the pass than it had originally intended, so a price hike was inevitable. The publisher also says that there’s more than “$60 worth” of DLC on the way, so even if you pick it up after the increase, you’re still getting a bargain.
