Carmageddon: Max Damage will bring gratuitous vehicular homicide and marvels of engineering to PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One later this year, developer Stainless Games announced today.
The website for the upcoming game in the dormant car-based combat series shows what to expect from Max Damage. And yes, it’s everything you expect from a series forged in the crucible we called the 90s gaming industry. So, expect a game that gives absolutely zero fucks- as shown in the first second of the trialer.
From the trailer and the website, it appears the core gameplay sticks to tradition, with players choosing from a variety of vehicles to take to open environments and run down pedestrians and demolish opponents. The game will also come with a career mode, repair system and online multiplayer.
As of time of writing, there is no release date scheduled for Max Damage. The developer has confirmed on Steam that PC owners of the most recent Carmageddon iteration, Carmageddon Reincarnation, will receive Max Damage for free when it does launch.
