Schlerf joined BioWare’s Montreal studio last year to work on the company’s newest iteration of Mass Effect, but announced Monday night on Twitter that he was leaving the company for Bungie.

Schlerf described his time working on Andromeda as one of the “best experiences” he’s had during his career. In addition he believes Andromeda will “blow people away” and that he “couldn’t have been prouder to be a part of it.”

Mass Effect: Andromeda is the fourth installment of BioWare’s massively popular sci-fi RPG franchise, and is scheduled to release this holiday season.
