Quantum Break is set to release on April 5 for both Xbox One and Windows PC; but don’t expect the latter to be available on Steam.
Confirmed on the Major Nelson podcast, Xbox Games’ head of marketing Aaron Greenberg said that the PC version of the game will be an exclusive on the Windows Store.
“We always want to hear people’s feedback, we’re always listening. While they might not always agree with 100 percent of everything we do, we love the feedback,” Greenberg said in relation to the decision.
“Please do not let the fact that we are also launching a game on the same day on Windows 10 change your perspective on the importance of the console business [or] our commitment to innovating on console,” Greenberg continued.
It was revealed last week that Quantum Break was receiving the cross-buy treatment, with pre-orders of the Xbox One version coming with a free PC version too. The pre-order pot is also being sweetened with bundled copies of Remedy’s previous titles Alan Wake and Alan Wake’s American Nightmare.
