In addition to a narrative focused single-player mode, developer Respawn Entertainment is looking at creating a companion TV series about the world of Titanfall, to premiere in tandem with the games launch.

The games narrative and possible companion series will be penned by Jesse Stern. Stern’s credits include both games and television, taking the writing helm on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in addition to a five-year run on CBS’s crime drama NCIS.

According to the Forbes article, Stern is working with Lionsgate TV on a series set in sci-fi world of Titanfall. Stern is fully aware of the cost that a series based on the Titanfall I.P will demand, noting the TV plans do not yet have a formal commitment from the network.

Titanfall 2 will not be a Xbox One exclusive, instead with publisher EA opting for a multi-platform release.

Titanfall 2 is slated to launch before March 2017.
