Each week, gamers around the world log onto digital distribution platform Steam, to get their latest gaming fix, and every week, Player Attack lets you know which games were the most popular.
The Division isn’t even out for more than a month, but it’s already topping the charts (and rightly so – it looks amazing). The next game in the sprawling Tom Clancy franchise, it’s being hailed as the multiplayer shooter saviour of 2016. Whether or not it lives up to that label is yet to be seen, but it has beaten Tomb Raider, the pre-order for XCOM 2, and indie darling The Witness to this week’s top spot.
Meanwhile, addressing the elephant in the room: Yes, Rise of the Tomb Raider is indeed listed in this week’s charts not two, but three times (two standard eds, one digital deluxe). We’re not entirely sure why this has happened (our theories include regional differences, esp because our AU browser won’t load either of the first two pages), but it does mean that Lara and friends is selling rather well on PC, just like everyone knew it would.
