Lara Croft will clamber onto your home computer tomorrow with the release of Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC – and this is one game that needs a good rig to really shine. The team at Crystal Dynamics have put together a nifty little feature video showing off the tweaks and improvements that have been made to the PC version. Get excited if you’re into anisotropic filtering, tesselation, dynamic foliage and unprecedented visual fidelity.
Crystal Dynamics weren’t alone working on Rise of the Tomb Raider on PC – the studio collaborated with Nvidia to incoroporate HBAO+, a high-end ambient occlusion technique. Developers at Nixxes also contributed to the game, which is promised to be the “most realistic-looking Tomb Raider adventure to date”.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is out now for Xbox One and Xbox 360, and hits Windows PC as rumoured on January 28 (January 29 in Australia/New Zealand).
