Microsoft has added 10 new titles to the list of games backwards compatible with the Xbox One, and will be changing the release schedule for future titles, the company announced earlier today.
Microsoft will start releasing titles as they become available “rather than a set monthly launch date”. As a result the company expects more games to become available faster.
As part of this announcement, Microsoft decided to sweetened the pot, making The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings- Enhanced Edition available free for Xbox 360 and Xbox One users in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, France and Germany from today through February 5.
In addition to The Witcher 2, the other 9 games added to the growing list of backwards compatible games include:
- Aegis Wing
- Age of Booty
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
- Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad
- Sam & Max Save the World
- Small Arms
- Space Giraffe
