Netflix has officially renewed the incredibly popular Jessica Jones for a second season.
The renewal, for all intents and purposes, was a sure fire thing, with the superhero drama daring to tackle sensitive social issues and receiving critical claim. Netflix now faces the task of planning a production schedule around the second season of Daredevil, as well as shooting the Defenders team-up series.
The official announcement came during The Critics Association press tour, with showrunner Melissa Rosenberg hinting at what we can expect in Jessica’s second outing.
“She ends in a very different place than she started off,” Rosenberg said to Screen Crush. ‘She’s still going to be Jessica Jones a that is not going to change. She will continue to drink and make mistakes and accidentally drop people onto train tracks, but something has changed for her by the end of this season, and I’d just love to explore that in the second season.”
The first season of Jessica Jones has been on Netflix since November and has binge watch written all over it.
