If you’re anything like me, then you sat up and took note of Quantum Break when it was announced alongside the Xbox One back in 2013. Well, developer Remedy have piped up say it’s “close to being done”; which is good news for, like, all three of us!
This revelation comes from Remedy’s head of PR Thomas Puha via twitter.
Not too much time left. #quantumbreak is So close to being done. Team is getting pretty tired, but inspiring to see the camradrie.

This means things are on track for the multimedia venture due this April, having originally been slated for release in 2014 before being pushed into 2015, and finally 2016.
And yes, I did say multimedia venture- if that term even gets used anymore. The action-shooter game will interact with a live-action series of the same name, with how the game is played affecting the series.
At the end of each game episode, players will need to make a choice which affects both the game and the show. So, hooray for future gaming anxiety! The series will consist of four episodes and each will last around 22 minutes. According to the developers, to keep up with the game’s narrative you will have to watch the episodes. Or you could not, they don’t own you!
The series produced by Lifeboat Productions and Microsoft has some rather well known names attached, staring Lord of the Rings’ Dominic Monaghan, The Wire’s Aidan Gillen, television actress Courtney Hope and Shawn Ashmore who plays Iceman in the X-Men films.
Quantum Break will release exclusively for the Xbox One on April 5, though Microsoft hasn’t “ruled out” a PC release.
