Late last year, someone pointed out an online retailer suggesting that Rise of the Tomb Raider was headed to PC in January. Now, another online retailer – this time Steam – has joined in the chorus, saying that Lara Croft’s latest adventure really is headed to PC this month.
The official Steam page doesn’t name a date just yet, but “January 2016” is way more specific than the “early 2016” that Square Enix told us. Plus, it ties in with the date apparently leaked by Amazon, which is always neat (Amazon’s date has been replaced with a placeholder, of course).
Rise of the Tomb Raider is currently an Xbox exclusive, which has gained great critical acclaim that hasn’t quite translated to the blockbuster sales Microsoft was expecting. The console exclusivity is sticking around for a while though, with Lara not headed to PlayStation 4 until holiday 2016.
