Pokémon fighting game Pokkén Tournament is getting a dedicated controller as part of a bundle when it releases in Japan on March 18, 2016.
Made by accessory producer Hori, the Pokkén Tournament game pad is modeled after the arcade version’s controller- and totally not then SNES. Other than scoring the controller in the Japanese announced console bundle, players should be able to buy it separately, with the game’s official website showing the controller for ¥3,840 (about $32).
Pokkén Tournament won’t require the dedicated controller to play the game. The Wii U version will support the GamePad, Wii U Pro Controller and Wii Classic Controller Pro.
The Pokkén Tournament Wii U bundle includes the game, amiibo card (for Shadow Mewtwo) and the controller inspired by the arcade machine.
Additionally 4 new Pokémon have been added to the brawlers roster- Rotom, Togekiss, Dragonite, and Victini.
Pokkén Tournament is set for a Spring 2016 release in the west.
